Loris Azzaro was born in year 1933 in Tunis to Italian parents. He spends his childhood and teenage years there, surrounded by sun, sea, bright colors and evocative scents... A Mediterranean life. In 1957 Loris Azzaro meets Michelle Carsy, his future wife and muse. He designs a necklace for her. Jewelry, beaded bags and other personalized items follow, and his creations become sought after by refined, elegant women. The story begins...

Loris Azzaro founded the Azzaro brand in 1967 based on a collection of bright, spectacular, fluid and shimmering dresses... It was something brand new, and the polar opposite of the little black dress that was fashionable at the time. He achieved immediate recognition. In 1968, Loris Azzaro opened his own couture house at 65 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The address is still the hub of Azzaro fashion today.
